wanted to travel to New England and finally I got the chance to do so. My
husband and I traveled with friends all the way to Maine in mid October two
years ago. I must say this was a wonderful trip!
We stayed in Salem, Ma from there we went on to New Hampshire. As we
traveled we had no idea what we were looking for, we just wanted to see things.
Soon we came upon a place called Strawbery Banke Museum. This place was amazing;
it was like traveling back in time.
Strawbery Banke Museum is a 10 acre village filled with authentic
homes, stores, and businesses spanning from the 1600’s to today. The experience
was much like I would think time travel would be like.
The community was well planned and quite beautiful. The day was a bit
overcast, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying everything there was to see
there. It is located in the heart of historic downtown Portsmouth, New
Hampshire, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They
are dedicated to bringing 300 years of American history to life, and they have
been very successful at that.
This is a place of learning for all ages, a place for people to gather
and enjoy history, the heritage gardens, and hands-on activities. This is a
excellent place to immerse yourself in the history of America, and enjoy the
beauty of the grounds.

I will be posting more about this trip in another post.
