you can find beauty in anywhere. As I mentioned in my last post, we traveled to
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine with friends. We were able to find many
different things to see and do. We spent one day just walking around Salem and
exploring the history there.
Salem is an interesting town, and it comes alive during the Halloween
season. The streets were packed with people, the shops were busy.
One thing that I did not like was the fact that you had to use porta
potties while you were there. The reason for this, I was told, was because there
are so many visitors that it is hard on their sewer system. Some of the shops
would let you use theirs if you purchased something.
While we were there we took an informative bus ride around town, this
was nice. We were able to see things that we would not have normally seen. I am
not a believer in palm reading, or any of that stuff, but I was willing to have
it done while in Salem. In the end, I didn’t because of the expense. Everything
there was very expensive I guess I should have expected that.
We also took a fall foliage boat tour while in Salem. It was a 2 hour
boat ride around the coastline, our guide pointed out the expensive homes, and
the numerous lighthouses. The water was choppy, and the air was chilly, but it
was an amazing experience.
