Gettysburg Pennsylvania and is said to be haunted. My husband and I love to
travel to Gettysburg, and we really enjoy things that are reported to be
haunted. We have never seen a ghost, and we are not sure that we believe, but in
any case we are open to the possibilities.
Several years ago we decided to go and have lunch at this historic inn,
and we were pleasantly surprised, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food
even better. In the lobby, they had pictures and brochures on the fact that the
Ghost Hunters from the Sci-Fi channel had been there. This was interesting to us
as we sat down to eat our lunch. That day we had our daughter and her boyfriend
with us. As we began to eat our lunch, my daughter looked up at me with a
strange look on her face. I asked her what was wrong, and she replied “My chair
We all looked at each other, and none of us were experiencing anything
like that. She said, “It stopped.” After a few minutes, we forgot about it, when
it happened once again. She was the only one to feel the vibrations. We chalked
it up to something in the basement of the old building, but who knows?
This bed and breakfast is in a lovely location, with excellent hosts. I
would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away, loves history,
or would like to try and see a ghost.
The Rebel army used this building during the battle of Gettysburg, as
an army camp. This is where many think the ghosts come from; it was also sort of
a makeshift hospital. Many soldiers died here. Whether or not you believe in
ghosts really is not the issue, you can enjoy this place of hospitality and
beauty any time of the year.
