No I write because I see a situation and make a story out of it. I do this for fun, just to see what will come of it and voila there's the start of a story. I love to play the "what if" game. I see someone putting air in their tire at the gas station and I wonder where they're going. I wonder are they good or bad? Do they take drugs, or are they a preacher man with a secret? Why are they driving a van? Do they abduct young women and sell them into slavery? Or could it be they picking up children to take them to school?
Do you ever sit beside someone on a bus or at the doctor's office and just wonder what their story is? Everyone has a story, good, bad, or indifferent and we may never know their story but our imagination can do wonders at making up something. I promise, mine certainly does.
